Twilight FanArt
Posted by Faith in fandom. There is so much Twilight fanart on the internet and on DeviantArt in particular that sometimes I feel a little bit overwhelmed trying to look through it all. Because of how overwhelming it can be, I wanted to take a minute to point out someone whose work I particularly enjoy. That DeviantArtist would be dean-winchester. They have a particular style that I really enjoy, and their Twilight work has covered a lot of the better moments.
I received their permission to show you two of my favorites here-you can click on them to be taken to their page on DA where you can see them in full view.
The first one here is one of my favorite Alice and Jasper moments. I’m a BIG fan of Alice and Jasper, I love their quiet moments. I’m sure that a lot of people will tell you that this is their favorite Alice and Jasper moment-it’s from New Moon when they are all reunited in the airport.
“They only stared into each others faces, yet, somehow, the moment was so private that i still felt the need to look away…”
The other picture I wanted to show you is called “Welcome to the Family” and includes the whole Cullen family.
Things I like about this picture include…
-Rosalie’s obvious attitude, this of course seems necessary. I see a lot of pictures with Rosalie looking happy, but if Bella’s in the picture, she should be a grump.
-Alice shielding Jasper away from Bella. It’s subtle, but there.
-The way Esme is holding Carlisle feels appropriate.
-From this drawing, I’m not really sure if Edward looks like a nice guy or not. I like this because in the beginning of Twilight Edward comes off as kind of a jerk and I don’t know if I like him or not…and I think people forget that a lot. He really does seem like he could be the bad guy, haha.
So there is my oddly thorough twilight fanart analysis.
Make sure you check out the dean-winchester DA gallery, a lot of good Twilight (and Supernatural! if you’re a fan…) fanart with a wonderful comic book style that I really enjoy.
P.S. I don’t think you’ll want to miss this one… hehe
