Midnight Sun Postponed-Copy Viral on Internet?
Posted by Faith in midnight sun.The Twilight Lexicon blog hasn’t even posted about this yet, so I guess tihs is very very new news. And very very sad. Go and read Stephenie Meyer’s site, NOW.
In short, someone distributed her half written unedited copy of Midnight Sun on the internet, it’s gone viral. This is a big, bad violation of her writes as an author, and infuritates me as a fan. And, now, Midnight Sun is being indefinitely postponed.
I was looking forward to this book A LOT. This is very very sad. I’m totally grumpy, and sort of at a loss for words. I’m so sorry Stephenie, this sucks. 
You can read the copy of Midnight Sun that was distributed on her website. About this, she said “This way, my readers don’t have to feel they have to make a sacrifice to stay honest. I hope this fragment gives you further insight into Edward’s head and adds a new dimension to the Twilight story. That’s what inspired me to write it in the first place.”
What are your thoughts on all of this?

This SUCKS!!! I’m relatively new to the whole series and finished off all 4 books in 4 days! I just learned about Midnight Sun yesterday and was very, very excited! CRAP! Why can’t people leave a good thing alone and just be patient!?
I’m sorry, Stephenie, I hope you can undo whatever damage was done.

wow, I feel so sad for her. I won’t read it even on her site. She must feel so violated. Later I will be pissed, right now I just feel hurt for her.

As a fan of the series I am deepley saddened by this. But, I don’t think quitting is the answer. The fans still want it and I for one would still buy it. I understand how she feels, but she cannot fully comprehend how many people’s joy she is killing by doing this. I just want to send out my serious plea that she continue and not end it for all of who stood in lines at midnight for hours to get her last book.
